Original to digital in 1:1 quality
In the scan unit the geometry of the plaster cast is recorded first. The cast is simply placed on the removable object holder and this is then fixed to the rotary plate of the scanner with a simple operation.
The operator can control the scan process easily with the Everest software scan module and the scan process, including data storage, is finished in less than four minutes.
In this brief period a CCD camera scans all 3-D contours at a ratio of 1:1 and the data are converted to digital data.
The measuring plate rotates and tilts during the scanning process to record all aspects of the most complex shapes and all critical regions.
The measurement precision of 20 μm defines the initial basis for the absolute 1:1 precision that is the characteristic of the total machining process with KaVo Everest.
Safe scanning with precise castpositioning
The plaster cast must be precisely positioned in the centre of the measuring plate of the Everest scanner to ensure 100% correct scanning of the cast.
